It is the second edition of the Austrian footbike race called “Kick The Ring” and records have been set already. International participation in this race sets records high and affects the Austrian Championship results.
In the second edition of the Austrian footbike race “Kick The Ring”, Czech Jan Pavel wins the race and sets all records high. He is racing his fastest lap by an average speed of around 30 km/h [ 18 mi/h ] and dominates the race after the third lap. It seems that this race is his personal best – so far.


Three nations in competition
Salzburgring, 14.08.2016: The motorsport race track is about to challenge the footbike athletes for the second time. On the starting line are 3 nations: Germany, Czech Republic, and Austria. 17 Competitors overall. Including 3 women and 14 men. All ready to start this race.
Records! Records! Records!
The Kickbike-Community was fascinated and astonished at the same time by Jan Pavel’s tremendous leg power. The Czech won the 42 km [ 26.2 mi. ] Marathon after one hour and twenty-eight minutes. By that, he set the course record.
Six minutes later the Austrian Jurek Milewski crossed the finish line and came second place before his German competitor Roland Wiesmaier.

After analyzing the race results it was clear that Jan Pavel has been at his peak. He raced his fastest lap by a time of eight minutes and twenty-seven seconds. He reached an average speed of 29,75 km/h [ 18.48 mi/h ] over a length of 4.2 km [ 2,6 mi ] and set his next record, the lap record.
Unexpected fast pace cuts women’s race short
With an average speed of 28,57 km/h [ 17.75 mi/h ] Jan laps the female winner and cuts the women’s race short. In this way, Czech Cerná Klára won the race after 8 laps and 33,6 km [ 20.9 mi ]. Behind her are the ladies Cinderella Kugler, second place, and Susanne Kugler, third place.
Excellent blacktop and the racing track itself are the reasons why this event is one of the highlights each season.

Austrian championship – the musketeers won it all.
“Kick the Ring” is a race for all nations. Within this race, the Austrian championship took place as well. It has been a successful race for the Austrian footbike sports club “The Austrian Musketeers”. They won it all – Gold, silver, and bronze.
Cinderella Kugler defended her first place while Susanne Kugler wins second place and Günter Kugler wins thrid place.
The next Austrian national champion in footbiking is Jurek Milewski
There is a new champion in the men’s category. Jurek Milewski takes over the lead of the championship and puts David Pasek in second place. Jurek completed the race after 10 laps and a time of 1:34:49,45. His average speed 26,58 km/h [ 16.52 mi/h ].


Salzburgring gets in the spotlight of the Kickbikers
It has been a successful race for the Austrian footbike scene. The participation of different nationalities proofs the interest in this sport event.
