Finally, it is here – The very first Austrian footbike championship race got organized in Austria. Now the Austrian kickbikers can prove their footbike power in an official race. What a sensation among the Austrian footbike athletes and footbike fans.
Compared to the Netherlands or the Czech Republic, the Austrian footbike scene is still taking baby steps to support the Kickbiking trend sport. But the next step has been taken.
“Kick The Ring” is a marathon for national and international Kickbikers.
The Austrian footbike organization (TTVÖ) arranged the very first Austrian footbike race called “Kick The Ring”, which is a marathon for national and international Kickbikers. Within this race, also and for the very first time, the Austrian championship took place.
Pure leg power on a racing blacktop
On August 16, 2015, the official and very first Austrian Kickbiking championship took place. 12 footbikers were at the start. – Ready to face the 42 km [ 26.2 mi ] marathon race. Step by step they finished the course and enjoyed the smooth gliding on the racing track.

The racing track on the Salzburgring
The Salzburgring is a racecourse for racing cars. One lap is 4,255 km [ 2,64 mi ] long and encloses an ascent gradient of 3.8% as well as a downhill gradient of 1.8%. Overall the Kickbikers had to kick 10 rounds to finish the race.
Who is the Austrian champion?
The race ended after 1 hour and 46 minutes as the last Kickbiker crossed the finish line. The fastest man and Austrian champion was David Pasek. He raced with an average speed of 26.3 km/h [ 16.3 mi/h ] and accomplished a winner’s time of 1:37:03,5
The very first national championship title goes to the sport club The Austrian Musketeers.
The fastest woman and with one lap less was Cinderella Kugler. With her winner’s time of 1:44,54 and an average speed of 21.9 km/h [ 13.6 mi/h ] she won the Austrian championship and made our Kickbiking sports club extremely proud.
